Caladan: The Silver Magic Chronicles
Synopsis of Book One, Dawn of Darkness:
The first book of the Silver Magic Chronicles introduces the world of Caladan, filled with magic and wonder. Elves, Dwarves, Man, and many others make Caladan their home. A world where good always fights evil and adventurers are always in demand.
All of Southern Balinest is falling into utter chaos as evil Blacklanders and mercenaries raid villages, killing all or sending those that may be strong enough to work the mines in the Blacklands. The coastal cities are already taken and the pirates control the seas. It is a grim time indeed.
The story follows a woman warrior, Caitlyn, who finds out she is so much more than she thought she was. Her seven companions from the fabled Swords Edge and herself must battle the evil in a castle most strange. A castle that defies all logic. As ancient lore tells us, this is the Castle of Gardens, a castle created by a powerful sorcerer thousands of years ago. The beauty of the gardens was legend. One day, the castle disappeared. Now it reappears each night with it's glowing walls made of something not of this world only to disappear again at sunrise.
Ash is a sentient sword that will only be held by Caitlyn. She is new to being alive and learning through Caitlyn how people live and are driven by emotions that she doesn't have or understand. She is very magical with several different spells she can use. Fire, water, ice, and defense.
And at the end of the adventure is none other than the dreaded evil Sorcerer, Selcazar.
Synopsis, Book Two, Raiders of the North:
This book will follow Caitlyn and her friends in the Sword's Edge as they travel north across the icy plains to the Glass Mountains, where the Kyndar Stronghold can be found. Caitlyn has limited time to get there and get her magical block removed. Her magic is poisoning her. She must get to the Silver Pool before it is too late.
They will have to meet the Yethorins. A mighty creature that is a mutation of a yeti. The Yethorin will be needed to get them across the plains, if they can get them from a slaver with other plans.
In her way are the Ice Raiders that roam the icy plains as nomadic tribes. They will stop at nothing to prevent Caitlyn from getting to the Kyndar Stronghold. Including joining the tribes together. Not to mention the huge and dangerous snow bears that roam the plains and Glass Mountains looking for food.
If she makes it to the silver Pool and has her block removed and she gains the magic she is destined to wield, what will she become? Will she turn into a power hungry super being? Will Arron and her friends still be her friends?
If she survives, she must face the last Swordmaster to leave the school. He is evil and is pushing the raiders to find the Kyndar Stronghold or stop Caitlyn from reaching it.
Hyminost is an ancient Silver Dragon. He will make an appearance in this book.
Synopsis, Book Three, The Three Kings:
The Sword's Edge must gather the allies that once fought with the Kyndar. They are located over the Emerald Sea in Felorin.
The Hadish, a people tall and strong. They wield bows that humans cannot draw.
The Shifters, a people that live by pack law. Right now, they are in a conflict with their neighbors in Pelin.
Pelin, a people that strongly believe in education. All subjects must attend school for at least basic level classes before they can get a job in Pelin.
Vreykenin, a people of the sea, thought long gone from Caladan.
Gladestone, the largest city in Felorin and Caladan. This is the home of the largest fleet of battle ships in the world.
If they can reach each in time and get them ready for war, they may yet have a chance. But the forces of evil far outnumber the forces that will stand for the light, even with the allies.
The final battle draws ever closer. They must hurry.
There will be an epic battle at sea. Disparate battles across south Balinest. And of course, the final clamatic battle.
Dragons will play a huge role.
